#Dragged into the water when fishing, then get stuck

Was fishing (character standing on ground, not water), then character dragged into the middle of the water once a "fish" take the bait. Character can't move but able to fishing trash only. Tried dashing but nothing works.

Platform: Steam
Input: Keyboard and Mouse / Controller

Update: Able to exit the bug area by using hammer to "jump out" the bug zone.

I’m so sorry to hear you ran into that stuck issue! 🙇‍♀️ But I’m glad you were able to find your way out of the area.

Do you happen to have a video or clip of the moment when you were fishing and the issue occurred? It would help our team a lot in reproducing and fixing it.

Sadly I dont have the video when the bug occured 😦

I"ll tried to explain it and hopefully I'tll give the rough picture of the bug:

  1. Was fishing in the forest river, standing on the ground, barely touch the water. Everything is normal.

  2. Fishing rod caught a fish.

  3. I press X (on console) 1 time, to catch the fish

This where the character body dragged into the water (more like on top of the water, as you can see in the picture)

  1. After the character's body (along with the rod and the fish) moved (more or less to the X axis) onto the water, I can fish normally but then stuck on this area and can't move.

So it's not just my character that moved, but also the fishing spot. The motion was kind of fast, but I can clearly see the character dragged (not walk, Body in I-pose but holding the fishing rod)

  1. Tried to fish few times but fishing activity only appeared when I fish a trash. When I caught what I supposed to be a real fish, the fishing activity is suddenly stopped (almost like when I cut the rod)

  2. Able to escape after I tried to use the hammer on full power(?) by holding the X button on console, facing the land

This successfully make the character doing a dash jump(?) leaping the bug area

If video is needed, I can try to fish around the area and hopefully trigger the bug.

Anyway, this is the game version I forgot to mention:
