#fertilizer consumed but not placed?

hey all, sorry if this is a known issue, but my game was working perfectly on the first day of fall fertilizing new fields with fertilizer ii, and now on fall 2 everything is the same except when i go to fertilize, the fertilizer disappears from my inventory but isn’t placed on the field. is there a max limit of how much fertilizer can be down on the farm or something? please let me know if i can provide any more relevant info

This seems to be what's going on from what I can tell. I'm on PS5 and my fertilizer isn't working at all. I was hoping there was like a trick on getting it to work.
