Hiya @gritty escarp. I'm really sorry to hear that your progress was lost — that’s definitely frustrating Llama_Sad_Emoji

To try and recover your missing save file, please follow these steps:

  • Go to your Steam Cloud storage: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage
  • Search for Coral Island and click Show Files
  • Look for the file named: ProjectCoral/Saved/SaveGames/DailySave_0.sav
  • Download that file and paste it into your save file folder: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames
  • Make sure it’s named exactly DailySave_0.sav
  • Launch the game and check if your save is back

I did what was asked, but it didn't work.

My save is still regressed.

And it continues in the old save.

I don't remember the last time I played, but I have a photo from March 4th. But I didn't play the month of April.

Just to double-check, was this the save file you were playing by any chance? I noticed the date on it is March 11, so I wanted to confirm if that lines up with your last session 😊

Ah, I’m really sorry to say this, but it looks like your save file is gone 😦
During the latest Beta playtest, we made a copy of everyone’s save from the None branch to the Beta branch. If you switched to the Beta branch and played there during that period, those changes would only exist on the Beta branch—and unfortunately, that data gets wiped once the Beta ends 😔

I know this isn’t the news you were hoping for, and I’m really sorry we’re not able to recover that save. If you have any other questions or if there’s anything else we can help with, feel free to reach out 😄

My heart is broken, I didn't know this would happen. 😭

I switched to beta to test coop, but I kept playing my save because my friends don't have the game. 🥹 😢

Wow, zero chance of me playing now... I lost a lot of things and starting all over again is very discouraging.

Anyway, that's it... sad.
