Steam Deck. Latest version of game.

Brief:

Go to the Cavern and you will hear music even when you have Music Volume set to 0 (zero) -- It's on the SFX Volume channel instead of the Music Volume channel.

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Open Settings. Select the Audio tab. Set Music Volume to 0. Set SFX Volume to 10. Save and exit Settings.

  2. Walk or Warp (use any Waypoint or the food item Warp Sesajen) to the Cavern location and approach the entrance doors but do not enter. You will hear music start to play. You should not hear this music because you have Music set to 0.

  3. Now go back to Settings, open the Audio tab, and lower the SFX Volume to 0. Save and exit Settings. Return to the game and the music has stopped.

Note:

The object the music is attached to is centered on the door outside the Cavern at the Cavern entrance. It fades as you walk away from the door, and becomes louder the closer you are to the Cavern door.

Hi @tranquil sonnet , thank you for reaching out to us! Could you tell us which platform are you playing from (Steam PC/Deck, Xbox PC/S/X, PlayStation 5) and your current game version? Also, if you could replicate the problem, could you record a video and send it here so we can take a closer look? Thank you 😄

Platform and version are at the top of the report. I don't know how to record videos but all you have to do to see the issue is set the Music Volume to 0 and approach the Cavern's external entrance -- you'll hear music.

Okay.. I learned how to enable Steam Deck video recording and I recorded a few videos but it won't let me upload them because they are longer than 60 seconds. I tried multiple times and I can not record a video in less than 60 seconds that shows the complete issue.

My audio settings? That information is listed in the original post.

The only option to export a 1+ minute video from the Steam Deck is to send it over WiFi to a Windows 10 computer and I don't have one. Sorry to be blunt but I don't see the point of a video being required for this. Just set your Music Volume to 0 and go to the Cavern and you will hear music. Simple as that.
