Auto chest loading too few items

Reproduction Steps: Connect auto chest to machine which uses multiple input items (furnace, recycling machine, composter). Add only one ore (no coal) or only one trash. The auto chest will load without the correct recipe. Manually loading the machine works normally.
Repro Rate: Apparently every time
Game Platform: Steam
Game Version: v1.1b-1237
Input Mode: Keyboard and mouse

While I'm not the original poster, I can chime in and say yes this is still happening. Here is a save file I concocted to illustrate what happens:

• Load the 35 gold ore into the auto chest in the far left shed (where the Furnaces are). The auto chest already has glass and coal within it.
• The auto-chest will use all 35 ore to completely fill both furnaces. (Each furnace will display "machine full".)
• When the dust clears, 10 gold bars! Yay!
• I did not compare before/after on the Coal. I am certain the Auto Chest is breaking the rules for every recipe in the game. For example, I put a bunch of "organic" items (such as beach shells and tree seeds) and the Auto Chest queued up to seventy compost in one Compost Bin, when the player-loaded max is 20 compost. (Another example of rule-breaking would be to load golden milk/eggs for butter/cheese/mayonnaise.)

Not at the moment. I can try to get Steam to record it when I get home from work. That save file was spur-of-the-moment.

Here we go. I did a "test" deposit of items into the auto chest which should showcase the following:

• 1 item put into the auto-chest is enough for one recipe combine
• 10 trash led to +10 scrap queued up between the two recycling machines, and the second batch of ten was another +10 queued up (should have been +5 and +5 respectively, since 2 trash per 1 scrap normally)
• 6 gold ore was enough for 6 gold bars (should be 30! ore); the same for stone becoming glass

And yes, I have the title screen on purpose so you can see the game version is indeed the current version. :)
