i dont know where to find those? do they still drop from clovers or tilling sand at the beach or so? i know some unlock the normal way, but there is the book donation feature, so there must be books to donate right, also tornpages is under journals, im confused.

These are no longer in the game and there's no intention to add them back in. Anything you see regarding them is outdated (including references in the game)
