  1. Q. Will the 1.2 Update be released at the same time on all platforms?
    A. Yes! The 1.2 update will be released simultaneously across all platforms.

  2. Q. Will it have split-screen or local co-op?
    A. Right now, we’re focused on developing the online multiplayer mode. We initially hoped to include both online and couch co-op, but it turned out that working on both at the same time turned out to be too resource-intensive. If we get the chance in the future, we’d love to add a couch co-op mode!

  3. Q. With kids growing up, will only our babies grow up, or will the town kids (Zoe, Archie, Valentina, Oliver) also age? Or is it both?
    A. Both! In the 1.3 update, not only will the player’s children grow up, but the town kids will also age. Each will have unique storylines as part of this feature, adding more depth to their characters and
    interactions!

  4. Q. If I'm already dating or even married to an NPC, can I still see the new hangout events or have I missed them?
    A. Hangout cutscenes from heart levels 0-8 are locked once you start dating an NPC.
    After giving them the locket to unlock hearts 9-10 and changing your relationship status to datemate/girlfriend/boyfriend, you will no longer be able to see the heart 0-8 hangout cutscenes.

  5. Q. Will there be a divorce system in the game?
    A. No, there's currently no plans for a divorce system in the game. However, we're exploring the possibility of adding a feature that allows you to copy your save file, so | can experience romance with other NPCs without having to restart your farmer life from scratch

  6. Q. Will the romance update also apply to merfolk romance?
    A. Yes! The romance update will apply to all 28 romanceable characters, including the merfolks!

  1. Q. Will Coral Island multiplayer be cross-platform?
    A. Yes! Cross-platform will be available between Steam and Xbox both via console or via PC, as well as Steam and PS5. If Steam player is hosting, only one platform can join -meaning if a PS5 player joins, an Xbox player won’t be able to, and vice versa.

Also, Island Hopping is 'potentially' planned for after completing current roadmap (#🖼coral-images-official message).

Q. If I give the locket to say Noah. Will that prevent me from seeing heart events 0-8 with theo ?
Basically if I give a locket to someone will I no longer be able to see the heart events of other characters from 0-8?
A. And the answer is no! so even after you give locket to Noah and change status to dating, you can still raise Theo's heart and see his hangout event!

If they do have a save file copy option, then I hope they figure out a way to separate yourself from your already picked partner. Otherwise it won't be helpful for some of us who've already picked someone 😅

The phrasing of that is why I said that, because it doesn't mention whether or not it would separate you from your existing partner if you copy a file where you're already married

My understanding is this mostly affects console users, since on steam you already are able to copy you save file manually.
And the point is each would determine for themselves, but after you completed some story and before you gave a locket/ring

So will there be new NPC kids spawning too?? Or just your own kids left running around lonely after all the others done grow'd up?

The future plan with 1.3 is

kids grow up

There is not & has not been any indication of intention for new NPC children.

Kids grow up will be applicable to the current NPC children (Valentina, Zoe, Archie, & Oliver) and the Player’s children (max 2)

I really wish I (PS5) would be able to play co-op with my GF (XBox) when I'm out of town. Or at least couch co-op with her on her XBox.

I get having to prioritize one over the other in the dev cycle, but from the wording of their announcement, I'm not going to hold my breath. That was dev speak for "Ain't gonna happen."

wave There is no set date(s) for the MP (Multiplayer).

It is set for Summer 2025 aww2 . When it's ready it'll be posted in #📣announcements so keep an eye on it! Set dates are not given (until closer to release) in order to avoid crunch times or any issues that may arise that could nullify the given date(s) approved . We just gotta be patient till then! Oh no I'm dating almost everyone! Now I wish I would of waited so I don't have to start a new save to see their hangout events.Pig_Sad_Emoji (which are completely separate from heart events right?) Are there going to be any additions to current heart events besides marriage ones? What about any other new dialog, like slice of life events or just generally chatting with NPCs? Will we still be able to see any of those additions without starting over?

Are hangout events going to happen like heart events? Like where in the character menu it shows you have an event. Or is just like going to the different places to hangout?

I have a question about your plan to be able to save your game and copy it as a substitute for divorce. If I've been married for years, I guess this option simply doesn't work for me anymore, right? I imagine that's what's done now on PCs, to copy the game before getting married and in another game marry someone else... I don't see a solution for late game players to live other marriage experiences without having to restart the game, did I misunderstand that part or is it like that?
