• Game crashes after going to bed after going to bed the game shows the recap, changes dates and then crashes before saving.
• Reproduction Steps I have tried doing different tasks that day and it still happens. I’ve even gone straight to bed without doing anything and it happens.
• Repro Rate every time! I can’t get past the day

I added in a third barn

I bought a buffalo

I bought an ostrich

I tried deleting the barn at the carpenter but after I went to sleep it crashed again still

Ohh, I see! Did you add the third Barn and purchase the animals on the same in-game day (Summer 12)?

Just to confirm—had you upgraded your house to level 3 on the previous days, by any chance?

I had not upgraded my house recently

It’s possible I bought the third barn and animals the same day but I don’t remember. I played a few days back to back before it crashed

The barn is fully built and it takes a few days so it definitely wasn’t the last thing I did

Did you go back to Summer 11 to retest this? And did the crash occur when you tried to sleep on that day?

Unfortunately I don’t remember what I did on the last day. I played a few in game days in a row and they blurred together.

Is there a way for me to go back a few days and play from there?

I understand. You can revert to a previous in-game day using the Backup feature. Here’s how:

• Open Settings in the game and go to the Game category.
• Scroll down to "Show Backup" and set it to "Yes".
• Return to the main menu.
• When loading your game, check the "Show Backup" box in the corner.

This will display your available backups, allowing you to select the day you want to revert to.

That worked! I was able to go back to day 11. I did nothing each day and I was able to go to bed and wake up through day 13.

Hi @raven current, I am having this exact same issue. However, reverting back to the prior day from the back up did not resolve my issue.
My issue:

• Game crashes after going to bed on Year Three Summer Day 7 after going to bed the game crashes to Xbox Home Screen.
• Reproduction Steps I have tried doing different tasks that day and it still happens. I’ve even gone straight to bed without doing anything and it happens.
• Repro Rate every time! I can’t get past the day

If you still remember, could you describe your detailed activities on Summer Day 6 or Day 5? Also, did you upgrade or build any buildings before this issue occurred? Any details would be super helpful for our investigation!

@raven current I’m not positive what I built. It was a while ago. I definitely spent a lot of money. I think maybe I bought some underwater animals. I definitely think I bought animals from the Savannah. I think I bought one of each Savannah animals. I think I also upgraded my house size.

We've received a similar crash report related to upgrading the house size before.
Did you upgrade your house to level 3? If so, could you share a screenshot or video of the inside of your house? Kindly send it whenever you're available. 🙌

So previously on the Steam platform, the crash occurred due to an indoor wall decoration being placed in a spot that later turns into stairs after your house upgrade.

To prevent the crash, try removing any wall decorations before sleeping or saving on the day before the house upgrade is complete. Once the upgrade is done, you can safely rearrange them.

We've already fixed this issue on Steam and are working on bringing the fix to Xbox as well. Hope this helps in the meantime!

I have exactly the same problem on PS5. I go to bed, the money gets counted, and before the game can save, the game crashes. I haven't been playing the game for long. I think I'm just at the beginning of summer in the first year and have about 15 hours of gameplay. I haven't changed anything with the house; I was just out diving before that.
