Hi, I am no longer able to invite merpeople to hangout and the conversations seem to have reset to what they were when I had zero stars. Attaching a few examples. Please note that I had just completed Miranjani's 4 heart event before I took these recordings. I didn't catch it in the recording but Miranjani refered to me as Player. I am playing on an Xbox Series X and my game version is v1.1b-1232. Thanks.

May I ask if you have tried to restart that day to see if the issue persists? 😮

No I think it actually started after I restarted a day after I regreted turning Leah down. I have tried restarting the day but it didnt seem to help

It was actually for her 7 heart event. The one where she confesses her feelings at the lake. I'm in game married to Scott so I felt bad saying yes but then I felt worse saying no 😂

I played a few days after just pushing through with the merfolk giving maxing out their gifts to see if it fixes itself

After I restarted it, I believe I just did things at my farm until it was the time frame of the event and then I went straight there

Did the issue only happen with the Merfolk and not the Townies on land, LilPuWow?

If you’ve tried talking to and gifting the Merfolk in the morning in-game time, could you share another video with us? This will help us confirm that you haven’t already talked to or gifted them earlier. 😊

Only the merfolk. Townies are ok. I can gift the merfolk and talk to them but not hangout with them. It's almost like the progress i had made with them reset even though the tracker still shows the hearts

And the dialogue is more like it was before I made any relationship progress with them

Just to confirm, the dialogue seems to reset, and the Hangout prompt didn’t appear, but you were still able to trigger Princess Miranjani’s 4-heart event when the issue occurred. Is that correct?

Yup, even more bizzarre, the second part, where you meet Miranjani alone at the heart shaped island by the beach triggered the next day even though the issue was already ongoing

Do you happen to remember the in-game date when you finished the Merfolk Chaperone Part 4 quest?

Also, if you wait until Winter 22, do the Merfolk go to the Land and stay at the Inn?
If so, could you try asking them to Hangout while they're there?

Hmm honestly I can't remember extactly when. I think it was either spring or summer of year 2
