item name above head not dissapearing

I gifted Wataru a catfish and even after a cutscene in Fish n Sips and also teleporting, it is not dissapearing. The Item is no longer in the inventory as shown in the picutre

Hi @topaz berry , I'm sorry for the inconvenience! Could you confirm if you get the fish from fishing or from the trash can? How long did the pop up remain there? Thank you

it was from the trash can
It lasted till the next morning, then it was gone. When the game save text appeared

sorry I didn't see that answer pop up. No i didn't do anything. it was only after gifting it

I‘m having this issue sometimes after entering a building shortly after getting a fish from a trash can (most often with the museum, since the trash can is so close by). It only disappears once i‘ve restarted my game.
