New Player General Questions

Hi, I just got this game the other day and have some questions. Please no spoilers I’m trying to avoid watching gameplay or looking up stuff.

Is the tv worth watching besides for the weather channel? Like can you get recipes or items from certain channels?

Do fish and bugs display rarities? I’ve caught a few but it doesn’t say much about it. I’ve been selling everything so far because I’m broke but I want to know when I should donate stuff in case it’s rare.

Do relationships improve just by talking to people? Or are you required to gift stuff to gain hearts?

I’m only on day 4 so everything is new to me lol

1. Tv has several channels - weather, entertainment and once you unlock kitchen - cooking with recipes
2. All fish and bugs will need to be donated, so keep one of everything that you catch/fish. And some will also need to be offered
   Later on in the story there will be a donated/offered in the journal
   Better to sell what you find around the island, forages
3. Relationships improve by talking and gifting

Hello! welcome to the game! You can learn recipes from watching the TV! In a couple days in game, you'll unlock a bit more story, and then items will show on them if you need to keep them for something in game. You can raise friendship by just chatting. You'll raise it faster with gifts, but you absolutely do not have to.
