#extractor+auto chest belt using fewer kelp than it should

Hi @sweet pelican , thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! The video shows that it happened to gold kelp, did you ever notice it happening with other types of kelp? 😲
okay so: kelp seems to work with any
looks like it needs a minimum of 1 kelp/essence, but will take up to the intended 10 if it can?
also doesnt need glass while it should (but will take it if its there, you can see that on the original clip)
ore looks similar, also doesnt take coal
trash > scrap also takes minimum of 1 instead of 2, so looks like it just does that with everything with auto chests
Hi @sweet pelican , thank you for your confirmation! I've relayed your findings to the team for checking and hopefully the issue can be resolved soon

Chiming in because I posted a similar clip of this still happening in the current version and was directed to follow this thread.

I think what's happening is the auto-chest is seeing if it can add "one" item to the machine directly; it's checking the capacity of the machine rather than checking against the player requirements. My evidence for that (not in a video) is if you load golden milk/eggs into a mason jar, cheese press, or mayonnaise maker. The auto-chest can queue up six products (deposits three), where a player can add only one golden item at most to one machine. So I think an auto chest is seeing these machines have a capacity of three, so adds three products, where the machine then says "ok, that becomes 2 eggs/cheese/mayonnaise" and we get six total queued.
