I'm getting a new PC this march and i was wondering if i would lose my whole coral island world in the process? or is it backed up on my steam?

It's saved on your PC. Go here -

Local Disk - Users - your name - AppData - Local - Project Coral - Saved - Saved Games

And move the save to your new computer

It's been fixed, you can play NG+ since v1.1b-1234

If you’re on steam, then yes. Copy your save file, paste it with a different number at the end and you have a copy of your save game

@neon geyser just copy and paste this to your search bar and then you'll find save files. From your description you are in the wrong folder

%localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames

So, steam cloud should automatically have your save file and on new pc pull it up from the online storage. But to be safe, it doesn't hurt to make another backup. For this go to %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved and just copy entire folder and store it on external storage or send it to yourself somewhere (discord, email).
