Insects showing up at wrong time of the day

I noticed a problem: the insects are appearing all day, outside their usual times. Insects that should only appear during the day are also showing up at night too, and the ones that are supposed to appear at night are showing up during the day. For example, fireflies are appearing during night and day, tiger swallowtail butterfly, same thing. Playing on steam deck, game updated to newest update.

@dense leaf Not a dev, but can you send your save file also so the team can look closer (pinned post has instructions).
And also if you have a computer, can you make a video (phone recorded is fine) of spawns on the computer and actual spawns. It would show more clearly the issue.

Probably almost all of them

Centipede, cecropia caterpillar, moth, polyphemus moth, scarites beetle, cricket, firefly, all of these night bugs are the ones I'm 100% sure I saw during day. Same with pipevine swallowtail butterfly, tiger swallowtail butterfly, assam silk moth, harpalus beetle, that are day bugs showing up at night. And I'm just talking about spring insects, I know it happened during summer too, but unfortunately I don't have the save anymore, I just have this new farm that I played only first spring yet.

Do you have sturdy computer in the game? If you do, could you check the insect forecast tab to see if you're able to locate the day/night insects on the mini map? You can also check all day/night insect types there!

@dense leaf, no I don't, like I said it's my first spring in this save. But I included information about most of the insects that I noticed are at the wrong time because I've played before and already knew roughly the timing for most of the insects.

i had the same thing happen to me in a few different areas. this happened to me in fall as that file was linked in the other report i made. but a bunch of day bugs appearing at night time after coming back from the ocean. I dont have a sturdy computer yet as its fall yr1 and while im getting mats to build it, i hadnt focused on it yet

Same thing happens to the underwater creatures, too.
I am trying for days to get the missing ones but somehow, I end up getting the daytime creatures instead of the night time ones. The day and season doesn't matter. Each day and all creatures are affected by this. Only possible way is to place some traps but it keeps catching day time creatures.

Hi @torpid idol @dense leaf , I'm sorry to hear that the issue is still happening for you! Could you send a screesnhot marking where the issue happened? And do you remember which daytime insects have been showing up at night?

All daytime creatures have been appearing during the night, there is no specific one. It affects all regions where I can catch Insects and Sea creatures. And I mention Sea Creatures because they're affected, too. (They're marked as Insects going after the computer)

I added some screenshots. According to the time mentioned in the computer, the daytime ones should only appear until 5PM (17:00). As you can see it's after 6PM/7PM (18:00 / 19:00) and I still see the daytime ones.

I already posted 4 videos and made I list of spring insects that I remember. It happens all the time everywhere. And it's not just daytime bugs, nighttime bugs show up during day too.

I have a small Info for you.
I started a second Game file and have the exact same Problems. Also, Insects that should appear only during the rain appear on sunny days. The Snail for example, see Image.

bugs were also frozen in place for me just now and not moving in animation nor location. but had cricket and snail on a sunny day

ohhh thought that picture was the frozen animal too... altho thats hard to show in a picture lol
