I play on steam steam deck, my game crashes when I try to sleep for the next day.

I'm on year 3, summer 20th. I haven't done anything new, only added another barn on 16th, year 3 of summer, when it was completed so about the 19th so I upgraded to level 2 barn to have it complete next day or so, but I can't cause it crashes every time I try to go to next day. I even tried staying up all night and have my character faint but it still crashes. I even powered off my steam deck and restarted the game and still crashes when trying to sleep.

To help us investigate this further, could you send us your save and crash log file?

For Steam Deck, your save file is stored in the 'compatdata' directory. The filepath is:** /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata. **

From there, you will see many folders with random numbers. The Coral Island folder should have the code number '1158160'.

Enter that folder, then navigate to the pfx folder, then drive_c folder. Follow this path: Users<username>\AppData\Local\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames to find your save file.

From the steps that I shared previously, you can also check it directly on your Steam Deck. You can open Steam Deck in Desktop Mode.

If you have a PC that syncs with your Steam Cloud, you can find it by following these steps:

  • Open Windows Explorer
  • Copy and paste the following file path into the address bar: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames
  • Attach the 'DailySave_[number].sav' file

Oh! We've received a similar report from the Steam player previously. The fix was already released for the Steam Platform too.

The issue might be caused by an indoor wall decoration placed in a spot that will later turn into stairs after your house upgrade.
To prevent the crash, you can try to remove the wall decoration before sleeping on the night before the house upgrade is completed.

Once the upgrade is done, you can safely rearrange your wall decorations.

  • Sort the files by date to find the most recent one
  • Send us the .xml file from that folder

I researched and we still don't have lvl 3 barns and coops, I think that's the problem

If you don't see the option where I'm telling you, go to settings on game options, it's the last one, show backup, and do how I told you before

I got the prior save of the 19th in game i just forced the game closed by shutting down steam deck and then loading back up game save and it gave me the option to load a previous save. Just did out of frustration I guess lol. but thank you for letting me know an easier way.
