I had this happen two different times now, where I cast my line but my character is holding the fishing pole in the resting position. She doesn't hold the fishing pole as if she is fishing, and doesn't do the movements while trying to reel in the fish. The rest of the animations are fine, just the holding the pole is bugged. I'm playing this on PC Xbox app.

@swift egret Hi, I had this happen to me yesterday (Steam, v1.1b-1236). Didn't record it, since it can happen randomly.
But I think I have a theory that it happens when you play multiple consecutive days in game (in real time - hours) . After reload - all is fine.
I will try recreate it and record next time I have time and sent it with the save file (since I'm past it already)

@swift egret Hi, didn't have opportunity to play, check and recreate it. I will try to next time and send it.
But from I remember it doesn't happen on like first few days of playing, but after several concurrent in game days-a week starts happening more frequently where your first line cast is wonky.

I ran into the same bug on PC and managed to record it. Restarting the game seems to solve the problem temporarily but it comes back after a little while

I think somebody else suggested that it happens after you go underwater. I already have mermaid fins and I think I have noticed that the animation is more likely to be broken after I've gone diving

Ohh I think you might be right. Prob something to do with the fins cus I only started getting this after that quest
