How do you put hay in the silo?

Whenever I try to put hay in the silo whether it be in the coop or the barn it won’t let me when I click A.

The Silo is an independent farm building - to utilize the hay/feed storage within Barns & Coops, you’ll need the carpenters to also build a Silo
(Storage capacity increases with additional silos)

That's not the silo, that's where the hay comes out of the silo. That is some slightly misleading wording on the screen though.
