Used a few vortex bombs (type 2 & 3 I think) on the underwater farm just after unlocking it and ended up with quite a bit of lag as the particle effects didn't clear. Teleported in and out a few times over a few days and the effect was still there every time. Didn't try a restart but can add an update next time I jump on to play π
#Vortex Bomb Glitch on Underwater Farm

Hi @fiery plover , thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! Can you tell us your current game version? Could you confirm if the issue happens every time you go diving or only on specific areas?
If you are able to replicate the issue, could you record a video and send it here so we can take a closer look? Thank you π
Hey! Sorry for the delay,
My version number is V1.1b-1232
I've just gone in to see if I could replicate the issue and it isnt happening for me now so I assume that restarting the game has sorted it. (i'll attach a few videos JIC it helps).
I'd never seen the issue before when diving and using the vortex bombs but didnt use any outside of the underwater farm in that play session last night.
Not sure if it'd be relevant but I was using the bombs on the farm immediately after unlocking it.
I did also notice that, on the same play session, i was able to enter the "deep forest" but most of the rocks and vines had not been removed yet, I walked up the slope to the left of the mines but hadnt had any cut scene yet. Then when I slept that evening I got the cutscene and all the barriers were properly removed.
I feel like maybe I had met the unlock requirements and something had triggered to let me into the area when it should have waited until I'd slept to trigger?
Maybe something similar was happening on the underwater farm, just not quite registering things properly until a restart?
(sorry to bundle two things into one π )
Hi, thank you for providing additional information regarding the vortex bomb issue! Could you send your Save File and Backup Files here so we can take a closer look? To retrieve them, you can copy-paste this file path into your Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames and then compress the SaveGames folder into a ZIP file before sending it here π
As for the deep forest issue, do you mind reposting it in a new post so we can check and respond to every case accordingly? I'll be sure to assist you there as well, thank you for your understanding
Hey, i've not been able to find my saved games folder unfortunately, pasting that string into my file explorer just brings up an error message π
I've had a search around but can only find a "ProjectCoralGDK" folder in %appdata%>local and nothing at all in %appdata%>roaming, also had a look in the standard files going through the Xbox app.
I've included the whole GDK file in case it is there and I'm just being a bit dim π
I'll get another report written up for the deep forest bug now for you π
Oh! Apologies for my mistake, you're using Xbox PC and the file path only works for Steam
Upon closer inspection, the flashing shown in the video is our intended game design that acts as a countdown before the vortex starts and it works the same for explosives as well!
We can assure you that it is not a bug! However, if you encounter any other problem please don't hesitate to let us know π
Oh absolutely, the flashing and then disappearing that is in the videos is what I've always encountered before. The glitch (when it was happening) was that the swirling animations weren't dissipating after the bomb went off, they stayed they over multiple days and through numerous fast travels in and out of the area.
Sorry for the confusion on that π€
