Repro steps: Open inventory and pick up an item to try an put it in the recycler to free up space for an item that just dropped on the ground (that gives the "new item/quality" found popup). The game gets stuck in an impossible state where any button click quickly shows the "new item/quality" before it dissapears, but you are still stuck in your inventory.
The only way to fix this is restarting the game and loose all days progress (because ofc these bugs just has to happen late in the evening just to make sure you loose max progress).
This was an issue back in april 2024 (according to devs reply on Steam forums) so we'd be grateful for an update.
