Reproduction Steps: During the Summer expedition to Starlet Town, at some point between leaving the beach and going to the inn to sleep, the find NPC function says he is not around. I did find Semeru and I was able to click on and interact with him, but he doesn't display on the map.
Repro Rate: Two evenings in a row I got "This person isn't around" before I found him on my own by following him from the beach in the evening (on Summer 27, Year 3). I did not look for him the previous days of the expedition, but I assume it was the same.
Game Platform: Steam, PC

Input Mode: Keyboard and mouse
I've attached a ZIP of my backups. (I don't think my daily save file will be all that useful, it will open on Summer 28 and the weather was stormy, so their schedules were different)
Related: A similar thing happens with Denali. When Semeru leaves his spot (see attached video) to go to the inn Denali comes out and heads to the Lighthouse. For the early part of her walk I get the "This person isn't around" response to the "find NPC" button. Unlike Semeru, when she is at her spot by the Lighthouse she can be found, displays on the map, and I can also interact with her.
