Reproduction Steps :

1. Launch Game from Steam
2. Open save file from Early access
3. Creates Character
4. Crash

Repro Rate:

1. Whenever I load the new save file

Game Platform: Steam
Game Version: v1.1b-1233
Input Mode : Keyboard Mouse

PC and GPU specs details: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070

I am having this same issue (steam) I found that I am still able to play if I run the game in administrator mode. Hope this helps!
