Coral island language bug

Hello there,

My wife and I encountered a weird bug with coral island.

She started yesterday on steamdeck with German language and until day 8 everything was fine.

at some point on day 8 or after it everyone suddenly started talking in English, while the menu and overlay is still German.

There is no way to change this back. She switched language multiple times, but the bug is still there.

That's a real problem because she is not good at English.

I then tried to start a game on my account, and pretty much skipped to day 8 and then I talked to a few people.

Then I skipped to day ten, talked, skipped to 13 and talked to people again. So far everything is normal for me.

That is to say I didn't participate in any mayor events discussions or cutscenes.

So we don't really know what trigged this behavior on her profile.

Is there a file we can delete or anything to reset this setting? A fix for this would be mich appreciated

I just found out there is a bak folder with a few saves backed up, so I tried one from the 7th day on my wife's profile, and the characters speak German again. Maybe if the sav files are simple text I could search for some language setting inside it, but if it's not, I'm lost at how to change it back.

The language setting in the menu does only change the UI language, and texts when you try to get into a house which is closed. Any character dialog remains English.

For now it might be a viable solution to just play from the 7th again, as not many days are lost that way. But it might happen again anytime in the future which is frustrating
