Reproduction Steps : After the last update, when I reached donation number 280, for some reason the counter in the museum went back a little bit. At that time, I didn't know if it was affecting/breaking something but now I noticed that it say I already donated the Giant Stingray when I over the fish but when I look in my journal, it says I haven't found it/donated it.
Repro Rate I don't know, I think I might have +- 5 items affected that way. I just don't know wich fish or insect yet.

I found another fish that is bug. It's a legendary too : It's say I have donated it but it doesn't show in my journal

Hi @drifting rose ! Do you remember what you were doing before the issue happened? Could you also send your Backup files here so we can take a closer look?

It's under the same folder as the Save File, just inside the Backup folder! Thank you approve2

Hi, I don't really remember what I was doing but I think I had donated to the museum, receive the 280 gift and the total donation went back to a lower number by itself instantly or right the next day, not sure.

I really hope there is something to do to fix that because I would be sad to have to restart the game. I have almost finis the temple and the museum donation haha

@drifting rose Can you clarify whether you actually caught the fish that are missing from the journal or maybe found them in the dumbsters, or through mystery rocks in the mine? And if you catch one of these fish again (for example crab is the easiest) does it show up in the journal?

I have catch these through fishing. And nope, even if I catch them again, they don't show in the journal

I know for a fact because I got many time the giant stingray since (through the cave and my fish pond)

I think maybe the stingray I didn't fish it and got it through the cave but I'm not even sure about that

That is so weird, I think a video for the devs would be helpful. Try and catch a missing fish and then after missing spot in the journal.
Crab is easiest of them all since it spawns all day in any weather and season, rice field is maybe the best place.

Then this is a pond problem, I think fish pond and insect house should count toward mastery points and journal entry, as if you caught them yourself. But we should get the confirmation from the team.
And do you happen to remember when did you in real life taken the fish from the pond? Before the current update or after?

after the new update. I catch the fish first and then put it in the pond. The museum bug was before I even had any pond on my farm

I guess now we wait for the team next week to clarify if they have anything they need.

New update : I got the insect achievement but in my journal all these are missing. I know for a fact that some of these I had them before the last update so I'm not sure what the bug is linked to anymore

Last update : I finish all the museum donations in the game but I can't get the last donation to trigger so I can't finish the museum in my game + can't get the steam achievement. To verify that I got them all I compare the ones I got with the wiki and I played an entire year dedicated to the museum and I'm still missing that one last fish :/
