No matter what i try it wont let me progress beyond making my characther, ive tried restarting the game and redownloading it but it still wont let me progress. Does anyone know what else i can try?

Can you elaborate why you can't progress? What happens after exactly? Does you game crash, does it load infinitely? What platform are you on (steam, xbox, PS5)? If it's PC, what are your PC specs? Are you sure your PC is capable if running the game?

Specifically what is your graphics card? People with integrated graphics cards have reported this issue, because the game does not support integrated cards.

That sounds like the glitch everyone gets when they have an integrated graphics card. Your laptop probably can't handle it. Do you know what graphics card you have?

You could always try to lower your game settings or updating your drivers. Especially graphics.

Is your laptop new? Tell me your laptop brand and version/number. Example; Acer Nitro 5, sometimes with extra numbers at the back.
Possible case your laptop has graphic card, but it switch to integrated graphic (CPU's graphic card).

Still, tell me your laptop brand and version/number. My bf laptop is 7 years btw, still able to run big open world games. My PC is 12 years (but most components change individually).

Acer eh... I need the model number, but it's okay. One last check if it has dedicated gpu;
Search Device Manager and enter.
Click dropmenu of Display Adapters like in the screenshot. Do you see 1 driver or 2? Can you screenshot?

Go to NVIDIA Control Panel (either search or in system tray)
Under 3D Settings
Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings tab
in screenshot:
- choose Coral Island
- choose NVIDIA GPU / NVIDIA Geforce MX550
Done. and try run the game.

No success? That's strange, your laptop exceed the minimum requirement of the game, low-medium settings.
It's alright, no problem. It's actually common issue among my friends who are using laptop, just need to change like in my last screenshot (or send your laptop for cleaning if it's strunggling to run everything). Goodluck btw

That's the strange thing, it can run games like remnant 2 or honkai star rail pretty well
