Unable to submit crops, Harvest Festival using controller

During the Harvest Festival I'm unable to submit the crops for the event, when using a controller because an item is still "selected" to be submitted

Reproduction Steps: Example, need to submit a last item for the harvest face off, but you have 3 of that item, using the controller you select them and use the X button to pick it up and move it to the corresponding tile, now you still have 2 items "in hand" but are not able to put them back on the inventory and can't exit the submit crop interface.

To workaround this I had to switch to keyboard and mouse for a moment so I could put the items back in the inventory and exit the submit crop interface.

I’m having this same issue without a controller. I’m playing on my steam deck and everything just seized up. i can’t even swap the things in my display now. the keyboard thing didn’t work for me either.

Not a dev, but can you both make a video showcasing the problem? When the team is available it will be quicker to check and start getting to the source and fix it. @waxen kayak @fallen badger

I have this issue as well on steam deck. Tried to retrieve items submitted to the festival and I'm now locked into that screen

Think I need to reset the day to fix...

Happened to me yesterday but I got lucky. I was streaming the game from my laptop to steam deck, and found I was able to use my mouse to manually add the items to the display. It did not work with touch screen on deck, only mouse on laptop.

I ended up closing the game, resetting the day and doing it again.
Had the same issue trying to remove the items from the harvest festival. Luckily I tried to move an item I didn't have a stack of, so I could exit the screen after putting the item back in.
Lost my items, but at least I could progress and not hard lock the game again...

Hi @gritty saffron & @lethal merlin . we're sorry that you're experiencing a similar issue 😔 @gritty saffron if you're able to retrieve your Backup files through your laptop, could you send it here so we can take a closer look? Here is how you can retrieve it:

• You can copy-paste this file path into your Windows Explorer: localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames
• Find the Backup folder
• Compress everything into a ZIP file and send it here

Here is the clip of the problem, I originally noticed it when I had multiple of the same items to submit, by the time the grid is full if you by chance end up with an extra item in "hand" when using a controller you can't put it back on the backpack causing you to get stuck

need either the M&K workaround where you just left click on the backpack slot to put the item back or bring exactly the 6 items you will submit

I kept playing yesterday after recording and then I restored my current save file, so I'm not sure which one will be the one regarding the reproduction so here is the entire folder

If needed just le me know and I'll use the reproduction save file again and upload new files

You have to pick it up and place it inside if nothing works anymore... no joke use your finger on steam deck to press on exit or to put down the item. The screen is working quite well
