Crash on Opening An Old Save File

Reproduction Steps: Crash happens when trying to load an old save. After the initial crash, subsequent attempts to load the game will ask to load from back up or not, crash happens either way. This save was started with New Game Plus right after the official release. It's still in Year 1 Day 2 because I stopped playing since. A few weeks ago I uninstalled the game from Steam because I needed to make space, but I was able to reinstall it last night.
Repro Rate: Everytime i open the old save. I made a new save to see if it was a problem with my PC, but the new save opens and loads just fine.

While the devs are gone for the weekend, can you try the following. Go to settings - show backup - enabled. And then when pressing play, show backup - and choose one of the backups. Pictures https://discord.com/channels/623097219628662784/1273006437517365350

Sorry that this didn’t help, then wait until next week. I would recommend also sending your backup saves here (they’re in the same folder as the save file, folder “backup”).

This same issue is happening to me. It’s really a bummer because I don’t have any other new game plus saves.

This issue is happening to me too.
Every time I open the game and try to load my save it will crash while loading. I played the game before in the early access, so I lost my progress and received the coins when the game launched.
The crash happens every single time I try to load this save.

Reproduction Steps: I opened my old saved files (early access) and it crashed, same with OP description. But when I try to make a new game and save it, it is fine.

I am having the same issue with both save files that were early access. Neither will load anytime that I try. Other save files appear to be fine.

I've had the same issue.

Title: Game crashing without loading, cannot find save files in folders

Reproduction Steps: Launch Coral Island via Steam. Navigate to load save file. Load screen pops up and then after a minute or two I get the crash report, which I screenshot and attached.

Repro Rate: Every time I've tried to boot it, about 7 or 8 tries since yesterday. I'm having issues loading my save file. I play on Steam. I've been playing since early access, shortly after the beta ended. It crashes on launch every time I try to load it. I've tried many times. It doesn't work whether I try loading backup or normal save. Is there any fix for this? I'm playing on Steam Deck. I tried locating my save but I've had no luck. The game files are not showing up.

So this is still a thing with lost savefiles?
Jesus....i played the game over a year ago. On xbox. After 60 hours plus,the game crashes and corrupts my savefile. I thought they fixed it by now after 1.5 year. I was about to play it again today. Glad I did some research on this subject before I started over.

This is a thing with NG+ save files (the ones transferred from EA and have additional money from the start), affects only steam users. Also new issue - started after last hotfix a month ago.
You maybe referring to something else, if you want to look at current crash reports for XBOX look for the relevant tags with the platform.
