Marine Observer Badge/Achievement not Unlocking

I have loaded my saves multiple times with the same result on both PC and Xbox, go to the diving area, catch the final critter, donate it, take the collection reward, and no achievement popping, nor does the in-game badge unlock. I have tried ending the day with the same result.
I play on PC Game Pass and Xbox Series X, though I did purchase the game last month.

I use a controller on both

We're sorry that you're experiencing this issue. Did you have trouble unlocking only the in-game Marine Observer badge or both your in-game and Xbox badges?

Both. The fish one is doing the same thing but I unlocked that achievement before, but I didn't donate it to the museum - just the temple. Spring came around so I finally got another gator gar and donated it. No badge for that one either. I suspect it may be the case for the other collectibles as well. Holding off on completing them for now. Please let me know if I can provide anything else.

I just noticed something else - almost all of my badges now say they were earned on Spring 10 Year 6 - clearly impossible.
