#How to transfer my load game from Xbox GamePass to Steam?

I started playing coral island last few months ago and installed it from Xbox Gamepass. Since now it is not available anymore in Xbox GamePass, I purchased the game from Steam. Please help me how to transfer the data from Xbox to Steam platform.

@honest oar It is not recommended to transfer saves. Your save will eventually get corrupted and you will have to start from the begging again.
And save transfer means any bugs or crashes in the game are not gonna be supported by the devs.

Start a new save, you can use NG+ and start with money already.

@honest oar I transferred it and been playing no problem, not sure if i am allowed to post it here but i found it fairly quick on google.

for now it’s been ‘fine’

We say not to do it bc we’ve had people who do it corrupt down the line later on
Sometimes it corrupts right away
Sometimes it’s fine for a while in game so then you make even more progress & then it still ends up corrupt & you lose way more than you would’ve originally

Plus, the devs have said not to do it, bc it’s completely unsupported, so that is also a primary factor for advising against

I see, well if i start to get them then ill be done with the game because i put like 200+ hours in the xbox version and i ain't starting over.

So the thinking is transfer then New Game +?Just making sure before I do something similar.

  • Buy game on steam
  • Find New Game+ thread using the discord search function
  • Download file of choice (different starting amounts of money)
  • Click load file (will proceed as though starting a new game, just with a different amount of starter cash)
