  • Reproduction Steps: (I completed the entire podium on the left with no issue on a previous day). Go to the Winter Fair immediately in the morning and play the trivia game, middle podium. Win 1st place in the Farm category, then win 1st place in the Forage category, and accept the rewards - the game will crash when you try to exit the trivia game ranking screen.
    Year 1.
    PS: the game does not crash if Forage is the first category you do.
  • Repro Rate: Every time, assuming you complete another category first.
  • Game Platform: Xbox Series S, Game Pass
  • Game Version: 1.1-1227
  • Input Mode: Controller

Potential work around for anyone suffering the same crash: win first place in only one category of the middle trivia per day. For me it only crashes on the 2nd win, not the first.

i haven't tried a second time (got frustrated) but the same crash happened to me - year 1 winter fest, completed the crop quiz and it crashed right after getting first place. i will attempt again soon and report back peepoSitL

hello i experienced the same crash when playing trivia on winter fair, it happened 10mins ago, year 1, crash 2x on fossil trivia and then crash when playing bug trivia, i'm playing using pc game version v1.1b-1233, until i feel lazy to replay the day before the crash

I'm getting the same crash as well since yesterday, it's definitely something to do with the trivia game because I played the other minigames and they were fine. Whether you win or lose the trivia game, the crash always happens after final results.

To locate the crash log, copy and paste this file path into your Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\Crashes. Then, filter the files by date to find the most recent one and send the .xml file here.

Its not the trivia alone. I had a crash on another winter one too

It was the one where you use the uhm hoe. There i had my first crash (steamdeck)

I can't replicate it because after a few tries I just gave up on the winter festival altogether and moved on, I'm on Spring now.. but @tribal pecan sent a video on this thread and it was the exact same problem for me

Before you played matching pattern (the minigame with a hoe), did you happen to play trivia minigame as well?

Nope. Was 1st year winter. I played the hoe game multiple times until i had rank 1.

I also keep crashing after getting 1st in two trivia contests. Tried 2 times now, and both times it crashes at the exact moment I exit the 2nd trivia I got 1st place in. It's a bit later in the day as I like to take care of things on both farms first. I am in 2nd year Winter and 2nd day of the festival.

Game has never crashed for me (new player in my first winter). I am crashing on the trivia games. I backed up the save file so I can revert back to this day in the future when it is fixed. If you want me to do any troubleshooting or follow any steps and provide details just DM me. Thanks

I just want to add that a way I got around this was the crash was not always consistant. Sometimes it was. It seemed like the same couple trivia games would crash way more often than others that almost never crashed. I made it a point to do about 2 or 3 trivia games per day of the fair. Since the fair is so many days, I spread it out. With only doing 2 or 3 per day, I was able to keep risk down. I did them first thing in the morning. If crash, restart the day. Do this a few times until I was successful with 2 or 3 trivias not crashing. Then I would leave the fair and do other things and get that critical save point at night. Then repeat each day until I was able to not crash and complete them all.

I had this crash twice today during the winter trivia. year 3. First crash es i have ever had in the game. It was exactly as in the video above. First time was on center podium, second time was one third podium.
