Unable to talk to NPCs on couch in Tavern

There's a couch in the tavern where I cannot talk to whoever is sitting on it. It only gives me the option to inspect the couch, at which point it says "Looks comfy." I get the icon to talk/give a gift, but when I click, I only get the couch inspection dialogue.
Repro Steps/Rate: Any time someone is sitting on that couch.
Platform: Steam
Version: 1.1b-1231
Input Mode: Keyboard/mouse

Ahh, I see! Can you drop your SaveGames folder in a zip file here so we can take a closer look? 👀 You can get it by copy-paste this file path to the File Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames
