  • Title: Auto-chest not working properly
  • Reproduction Steps: I leave material on auto-chest (trash in this example) and it is pulled to the scrap machine as the new day starts. At the end of a 20 scrap cycle, the chest does not pull more trash to restart making more scrap.

I am also experiencing this! But to me however it's not even pulling the first batch from the chest on day start. I left two kilns and stone inside the chest overnight and morning come it hadn't picked it up.

I'm experiencing this as well.

Additional details: I notice it mostly when it's trash and I'm using the recycler or compost bin with the auto chests.

Edit: I've noticed this happens mostly with the recycling machine, compost bin, and oil press. The other machines seem to be working fine for me.

I am also having these issues, on pc steam, same version as above:

  • sometimes the chest will pull items and sometimes it won't, also sometimes only pulls to left chest and not right
  • when putting multiple different items in the chest (different ores for furnaces, multiple fruit for mason jars) the symbols all show only the first item put in even when it has changed to making other items
  • putting the correct amount of kelp and glass in for the extract it seems to use up more glass than it should
  • also seems to have duplicated some ore (only happened once)

Hello, I also have the same problems (Steam, pc, mouse/keyboard, v1.1b-1232)

The auto-chests will work for a time but then they stop. They still pull the products out but don't put new ones in. Only a relog or placing them again fixes it (for a short amount of time) .

This bug has been around for a while, and I've seen many threads with video and save files (myself included). It happens so consistently, it seems strange that the devs haven't been able to reproduce the problem.

This bug is kinda what's keeping me from going back to Coral Island, as I'm at the point in my game where getting money for all the projects feels like a grind, vs in my pre 1.1 playthrough it didn't.

This video might be different that what the op submitted but I believe it's the same issue. If I had a single auto chest instead of a conveyor belt, I'd have to empty the chest, pick up the chest, then place it back to get it to work.
The easiest way to do this is to have conveyor belts so I don't have to empty them out

I've been having this issue on PS5 v1.1b-1232. I've placed the auto chest + recycling machine + kiln. In chest I've placed garbages and scraps. Recycling machine and kiln got filled up. After finishing that batch, it's stopped working. They don't pull more resources. Even sleeping and changing the day it keeps stopped. It starts working again if I reload my game or follow the same steps as the video above, pick up the chest and then place it back. Basically, it's getting filled and processing stuff only one time.

P.S. the issue occurs inside and outside the shed
