- Winter 1, Day 14, I had a cutscene of "you felt a large impact last night" and got off the next morning after the game saved. When I returned to the game a few hours later, I can't go near the satellite/meteor without crashing... I tested multiple things and came to the conclusion it was the meteor. What's worse is I tried to play without going near it (which was really difficult since it landed near my house and crops), but my game ended up crashing again when I went to go to sleep so I wasted a whole day. Now I'm stuck on Winter 1 day 15 and I don't know how to get around this. I really don't want to start another save or anything...

- Repro Rate This is the first time I've had it crash and it happens every time I step within a few tiles of the satellite thing. But only this one. I had a copper meteor thing land a few months back and it was perfectly fine.

TLDR: I think I got past it? At least my game seems to be okay now.
After many tries and tears, I lowered all my settings; fps, graphics, everythingggg. I was able to come up under the satellite and destroy it but I still crashed when walking through the area. I hit send and restart (refusing to give up) and got back in. I came up behind the satellite again and destroyed it before promptly going to bed and ignoring the day. I finally was able to sleep through the night and save but somewhere throughout my many attempts and many restarts, I lost my pear tree. It was a worthy sacrifice if it means I get to keep playing now so I'm not mad but wow was it tiring.

Same thing happened to me but I can't even get to the tech meteor to destroy it and get back to bed. It also landed on the corner of one of my pear trees.

A friend is also having this happen. Can't play the game since the satalite landed on her farm. Whenever she goes near it the game crashes, this is on PC

If it's the satellite on the pear tree for your friend then I'm definitely seeing a pattern here 🙂

I'm going to try OP's solution of destroying the satellite then immediately going to bed

Destroying the satellite and then going to bed did allow me to save and get to the next day, but then when I walk around the fruit plants where the satellite used to be, game still crashed.
After restarting the game and loading the save, the dragonfruit plant is gone but looks like my save is good now! Thanks @mellow gorge for the tip and for your hard work!! 💕

Have you tried lowering all the graphics settings before approaching the satellite?

Yeah it definietly seems like a satellite/fruit plant thing but it's semi fixable just a bit of a pain
