Wanted to note that this is still broken after the hotfix today for achievements - looked like a separate issue since mine isn't showing the badge either, but I gave it a shot anyways.

I am wondering about that too - I haven't played since I experienced this bug because I'm worried I won't ever be able to get the badge/achievement on this save file if I can't redo the day again. Not sure if this keeps us from being able to unlock everything in end game; this is my first playthrough so I don't know if there's anything like a 100%-only reward at the end or any internal checks the game does for this badge before letting you progress elsewhere.

I feel you. I really hope it's retroactive for everyone who kept going 🥹 & that the fix comes soon so I can play again. I really liked the game & had 70 hours on this file when the bug happened for me.

I've had the same issue, but on version v1b-1233. idk if it matters but I was on the steam deck when I should have unlocked it

I am having the same issue, but I also notice when I enter the ocean at the Lima Pulu Cave and go to the left, I have retreating black roots. I can follow them until they disappear, but then they show up again at the manta ray that takes you "DOWN". Don't know if this will help the Team, but thought I would share my experience.

Although, I still have the black vines appearing at 50m diving point every time I visit that area for the first time in that day. Thought this was normal as I didn't finish fixing all the orchestra points. However, I recently completed it and it's still happening. Also, still haven't unlocked the achievement.

I have the same problem, plus the black roots are also behind the magic tree, I also discovered a small point of coral still dirty with black. I play on Steam, the game version is v1.1b-1233 and I play with the xbox controller

Having the same issue on Steam in v1.1b.1233.
Finished the quest The Coral Tree back in early Winter, but on Spring 23 now and I'm missing the badge in-game and Steam Achievement.
Black roots still show up for me like others at the 50m waypoint, and the same black roots show up as the prior poster on my game in both spots.
I generally play with PS4 controller.

I am also having this issue. The achievement is appearing in my steam achievements though because I had previously completed it on an older save. I would assume the black roots showing at the 50m waypoint are directly attached to that badge completion.
