#Is it still possible to do NG+ from an early access file, and if so how?

So I have a save file I'd like to NG+ but not sure how to do it. It is early access save file that I moved over into the beta at the time, cause I wanted to keep playing it for a little bit after the full release happened. I haven't played since Feb 10th, because after selling off everything to have the most money for a NG+, I was very disheartened looking at a empty farm after playing for over 300hrs. Now I want to pick the game up again and want to start a NG+ but am not sure how. I loaded the game up and clicked on the old save file thinking it would prompt me to start over , or just auto start from the beginning of the game or something, but it loaded up as normal then a bunch of stuff unlocked. So I'm curious if it's still a thing or if there is another way of going about it. When the change from early access was happening it said that joining the beta at the time would allow you to keep playing that file until March, and after March it would force the NG+. Not sure if I need to do something on Steam to switch out of that old beta or if it switched to the main after that beta was over / after the update I did today, or if the NG+ is not a thing anymore. Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, but it seem like I might be out of luck cause the last played date and the last save file don't match for me and I wonder if it has something to with being in the beta, when I loaded up today I slept to save the game and get the save date to today, and when I copied the file and change the name I just had two of the same save and it didn't prompt a new game

Let me check. You copied your save file from the main game, change the name (Ex. from DailySave_0 to DailySave_1) and when you load the game there is only one previous save, and the new one is not showing up? @half radish

If you want a New Game+, you have to go to the thread above, download one of the files, copy to the folder. Sal provided how to and change the name as I mentioned previously all with the game closed.
Then open the game and the save should be there.

Make sure the save file name is exactly like what i mention

I must be stupid or something cause I can't get it to work or maybe it's the file that's the problem and saving the game this morning before trying to NG+ messed everything up.

Turn wifi off
go to backup saves
copy the file
paste it outside of saved games
change the name
drag it back to saved games
launch game
turn on wifi again

all i get when going into load game is 2 saves that both say the same thing and both load the same day

It seems like you're copying backup of your save game so when changing the name, you basically making a copy of it back a day. For a NG+ you need a save from the thread linked above. Sal provided the backup instruction as an example.
