I really love the cellar and I'm considering removing my storehouse and putting everything down there (Can someone confirm if there is a 20% speed buff for barrels? Is it just aging barrels?) but the stairs are blocked off.
Can someone let me know if the lower staircase is just something I need to unlock in game, or if those will be unblocked in a future update? I'm worried a game update for the cellar might break or remove my barrels and replicators.

Barrels and the slimes have +20% in the cellar and the shed. None of the other machines do. Right now, there is no way to get to the lower cellar
