Not sure if this is already reported but I frequently encounter this like in a (game) day or two. Not sure which exact tools triggers this bug, but I notice this after using the scythe, axe or bug net (could also be hoe.) I have to quit to Home Screen and load the game again for my character to move as expected again.

the icon at top left, that is strafe-mode
escape -> settings -> movement toggle -> hold
that you will make you only strafe if you hold ctrl button
