When ever I hangout with Wakuu when he is the observatory, the game glitches where everything is black and Wakuu is just sitting on his desk working.

Had similar bug before earlier, but my guess is that it will happen on certain combination of location & hangout

Mine was lily house & hot air balloon
I think it could be meeting NPC at certain indoor and doing outdoor hangout
