Reproduction steps - Catch an insect/fish, open inventory and select to move to a different slot before the pop up showing what insect/fish caught disappears. It will break the game. I won't be able to place the item down or exit out of my inventory. Pressing ESC does nothing and pressing the windows key doesn't bring up the menu screen, it remains on my inventory. I'm not able to report this in the game or get a crash log as I can't do anything when this happens. The only way to get out of the game is to force quit the game on steam.
Repro Rate:
This has happened to me twice before on 18th August. I then stopped playing for a bit tried to play again today (15th October) for it to happen again. Each time it's because I have selected the item before the pop up had disappeared.

I have attached a video of what it looks like once the glitch has occurred. You can’t do anything except quit. I then replicated the glitch and have attached this video too.
