Nearly everytime i go into my animal coops or barns to collect my stuff from the autocollecter they crash! It’s got to the point where i just avoid going in them and when i have to because my machines have run out it takes me at least 3 tries of it crashing and having to reload it. It’s only started happening since the new update and the game in general is just really laggy. Sometimes it’ll freeze and crash while i’m just wandering around the island. It doesn’t do it when i enter any other buildings though.

Hi hi @iron valley. Thanks for reporting the crash. We've received several reports regarding the crash when entering/exiting the farm building, and sadly we haven't had enough info nor video of the issue for our teams to be able to replicate it 
If the crash happens again, can you please share a video record of it so we can see it clearly? Also, when you go inside the barn/coop did you only collected stuff or also feeding/pat the animals?
