#Fog on Map

The Deep Forest does not have a map, unfortunately
Probably not implemented yet?
Nope, it used to exist but was removed.
but whyyyy
Because some people complained it was 'spoilers'
I will be honest I have no idea why tbh but that's the decision the devs have gone with.
how interesting 🤔
i would've thought it would only pop in AFTER you discover the area
The map itself doesn’t have any ‘fog’
The background colour = grey
This is commonly mistranslated as being a fog
But there is no dynamic layer to the game map in terms of a fog which hides portions of map
During EA initial release, the original game map did not include artwork for the giants village & mid forest sections of map
Due to these being the earliest map locations which are progression locked, it was also assumed that the grey was a ‘fog’ hiding these areas
However, (iirc) in the next main update to EA, the map artwork was updated and since then/now includes the giants village & mid forest areas
These areas, while NOT accessible until unlocked via game profess, are visible with in game map from day 1
The only technical ‘dynamic’ map is partially the ocean/diving map -> this is only in relation to cleaning the ocean though, as the shrines do not populate onto your player map until you’ve gotten within a close enough distance to them
In our current game version, there is not yet any change/updates for in game map artwork
(So only have the earlier updated version to include giants village & mid forest)
The dig site (which is technically an extension/the expanded area of mid forest - in relation to spawns), deep forest, & Savannah (which is also technically a completely different map zone vs town, so would need a map toggle like ocean has = town/land, ocean/diving, & Savannah) are all areas in game for which we do not have any in game map artwork added
-# but as long as devs get the time for it, I imagine it’ll be added sometime in future 🤞🏻
-# Coracle’s info dump is now complete 🙈
-# Thank you for clarification Bee the Allmighty Coracle to whom we all bow
