My auto chest won't use say multiple furnaces to split the work load, it only puts one per product - any way to fix it?

To be clear, this is for all benches - as you can see with the 3 extractors on the left as well. I really want all the machines to be used - there's way more gold ore and kelp left yet the other machines are empty.

... I haven't seen that particular issue with the autochests. I've seen them stop working, but my extractors and furnaces will double up no problem when I use them.

If you use your pick to remove one chest and place it again, does it continue feeding the others?

b/c the fact it's only filling them to 4/1/2 suggests it may have just straight up stopped.

I added Osmium kelp and it put it in fine, but I did notice all the excess gold ore poof'd

I thought it ate it to add it to a "buffer" of sorts, but now the furnace is 4/5 and the gold ingot went in, but the other 55 ore is still gone

no, auto-chests just delete items sometimes.
there's no buffer.

I'm currently making 3 more furnaces to check if having all the spots full will prevent it

Do your setups that use multiple fine have only that one type on them?

I have a belt with a furnace on either side, an extractor on either side, and a dehydrator on either side. Sometimes I have to axe one of the chests and replace it to jumpstart it, but otherwise I haven't noticed a problem with them as is.

I don't think it should matter where they're placed, but I'm still going to state it, since who the heck knows. The autochests are currently a useful-but-questionable item.

Yeah, I saw the complaints but wanted them badly - I might have to just manually do everything, because losing 80+ ore is painful.

I don't want to lose all my hard work just for the sake of automation.

I personally have not noticed any disappearing items

But, I also haven't dumped hundreds of items in (aside from random sea scavenge and I wouldn't notice if some of that disappeared)

Yeah, I wanted automation so I could dump lots in and let it run - so I might as well utilize the space and just manually use stuff for now - and leave automation to a chest with ||Slime of Replication|| since that won't matter if it bugs

I usually dump like 50 ore and 10 coal, 100 kelp and 10 glass in the chest and just collect it later simply because it's easier to me than clicking on the furnaces specifically 10 times.

and i can yoink the dried ______ when I do, so that's convenient 😄

I did dump a couple thousand trash in a belt with a bunch of recyclers, and that worked fine. If some of it disappeared, idk, but I had ~2k scrap after so it seemed ok?

The weird crap with the autochests is particularly weird because it seems basically random to me.
