Cannot complete Master Slime’s mural offering

• Reproduction Steps I have the hoarder ring and the plop backpack left to donate to master slime. I tried donating the plop backpack first, and then when I place the hoarder ring it crashed. I did this for two attempts. I tried to do the hoarder ring first and then it crashed when I submitted the plop backpack. I also did this for two attempts. And on two different Xbox’s.
• Repro Rate it happened twice on my Xbox series s and twice on Xbox series x.
• Game Platform Xbox series s and Xbox series x
• Game Version 1.1-1226
• Input Mode controller
  -Attachment I am remote playing on my iPad through my Xbox series x. This was my 5th attempt.

There is a similar thread here, but their issue stemmed from artifacts. I have already donated the artifacts (I think I used 2 of one, then another 2 single artifacts) and I am now noticing a weird icon above the artifacts that I have already donated (edit: it’s actually just the icon for the category here, my bad). I don’t think I can un-donate them if that’s the issue, and there is no way to reload an earlier save to donate 4 different ones (edit: found the “show backup” setting). The offering says “any 4 artifacts” but if the issue here is that I submitted 2 of the same one, that isn’t true.

update I found out how to load my back up and was super happy to find that I donated everything except the hoarder ring and plop back back on my backup. So I was able to basically start with a clean slate. I discovered that if I used four DIFFERENT fossils and four DIFFERENT artifacts, I was able to complete the offering for master slime. The fact remains that it should be said that you cannot use a repeat fossil/artifact, or this bug needs fixed.

No unfortunately I don’t have a video of that. I just loaded into my backup and started the day over. My original issue with the backpack and hoarder ring was on year 3 spring 6. I had donated the fossils and artifacts on year 3 spring 5, the “backup” day, so when that loaded I had to re-donate everything. I’m sorry, I hope this is still helpful 🙂

I am experiencing the same issue. Whenever, I am trying to donate the computer, hoarder ring, and the plop backpack it's causing the game to crash as well. I disabled my mods and it's not my mods causing the issue. I have attached a video:

it's usually the last item that is donating to crash. Before I thought it was the computer that was causing the issue but i switched up the donation order and it's the item I donated last to cause the crash.

I had this problem too, and it was suddenly solved. I thought it was fixed. Maybe my case could help with the investigation, I play on my PC via Steam.

What caused the crash: I offered all but the backpack to the slime mural. Then after a while I came back to offer the backpack, and it crashed.

Tried several times (buying the backpack the day before and saved the game, immediately headed to the mural after waking up, and crashed).

I collected all the other offerings and decided to try a tip that I got from another player. I finished all the other murals, stepping/exiting each and every time I complete one offering. The last one I offered was the backpack, and it finally worked.

I am running into this issue too. I have been donating non-identical fossils and artifacts, and have been coming out of the altar menu and back in again after every single artifact/fossil/ring/backpack/computer, and leaving the backpack until last. The only other thing I can try is to avoid starting and finishing it in a single day,~~ but uncertain about doing so in case it causes me to be unable to finish it in the future, bug fix or no.~~

Okay, found out how to make a backup of my save, then did all of the above except submitting the computer until the following morning, and this worked for me.

Repro: immediately bought the plop backpack and offered it, crashed.
Fun test: harvested 4 osmium lychees, kept in my inventory, then slept/saved to proceed to the next day, plop backpack offered without any problems.

Unsure if that promised update has gone out yet, but the crash issue is still happening. Tried 3 times to offer the last item needed, Hoarder Ring, and it crashed all three attempts -- at different times of day after having performed a variety of different actions in-game, including nothing but buying the ring and offering it. Based on the crash log you shared, it looks like the same issue others have reported here.

The update with the fix hasn’t been released just yet, and we don’t have an exact ETA for it at the moment, but the team is actively working on it. We’ll make sure to update everyone once it’s ready!

In the meantime, you can try the workaround shared by Alexandrica — which is to step in and out each time you place an offering item. Some players mentioned this helped prevent the crash.
