Stuttering on steam deck

Hey! I got Coral Island recently to play it on the steam deck cause i saw it’s steam deck verified but the performance is very bad for me, it stutters while i move my character and especially when i dash. I put the lower graphic settings and everything but it’s still the same. Is there a fix for this?

Hmmm let's try gather some information on this, and I'll relay it to the team

• What model is your Steam Deck, Iski? If you don't know it's okay tho!
• Could you capture video of the stutter? Phone captured video works. We need to understand how the game stutter

• Can you also take picture of the performance overlay? You can turn on performance overlay by pressing the Quick Access Menu button (the 3 dot button) and then click the battery icon. It'll show Performance overlay level slider.

Can you choose level 4 and capture the picture/video of the performance overlay when you're playing Coral Island?

Hi iski! I missed your reply, thanks for poking me again

I reviewed the video you shared, and I noticed the game did stop a couple of times. This is due to the game loading the town assets, but we'll check on this further. As for the FPS, it’s normal for Coral Island to run around 30 FPS on the Steam Deck.

I capped it at 30FPS but the problem is it’s still dropping frames like crazy and it’s pretty much unplayable for me

Hi, I am piggybacking on this because I have the same problem on LCD steam deck 512gb. The game is installed on the SSD. It lags when I am moving around the island, I suppose it's loading the assets but it is really unplayable like that. 😭😭😭
