I have been doing stuff to earn merit points but for some reason once I hit 683 it will not go up anymore and it shows i’ve earned a lot. I have an Xbox with a controller and my game is updated to the latest version. 🙂

Merit points do nothing for town rank. Town rank is only the heritage (goddess offerings), museum (donate to it) and the ocean (open all the orbs).
Merit points is a type of currency you use at the community centre for elixirs, and stamina fruit.

Hi @heady gazelle like LibrabryAndTea explained. Merit points are different from the points needed to increase rank. Merit points are used to buy items in the merit shop in the town hall. This is not a bug. Thank you
