Married to Rafael in the game and I have never received any communication or gift from his family.
Reproduction Steps: Release 1.1 was deployed after I had been married to Rafael for a few in-game years. 1.1 was deployed. I did not receive any communication at all from his family, nor any gifts. I did start receiving occasional gifts from Rafael though.

Well, other people said they received mail and gifts from their spouse's family. I did not receive anything from Rafael's parents. In fact, I don't even think they attended the wedding - and I have never met them. It would have been nice.
