Reproduction Steps got a fresh small osmium quality ostrich egg. It's winter 12. Manual cooking, pot. Added only the egg. Failed dish.
Repro Rate I will not be attempting this again, I do not have spare ostrich eggs.

Looks like the boiled egg recipes are different per egg. Chicken, Duck and Quail eggs all have their own hard boiled version. There's no ostrich boiled egg on the list or recipes so looks like that's just not in the game.
Didn't see an recipe for the enderwater egg (whatever it's called) so don't waste it by trying to boil it

I don't have any ostrich eggs in order to get a video, but when putting one small egg (osmium) into the pot, it gave the failed dish output
