#Crash after Zarah 6 heart scene Steam Deck

Hello! I'm sorry for the crash issue you've encountered. Can you tell us the in-game date and time when the issue happened? Did the cutscene happen on Zarah's boat or in the Cavern?
Do you have a video of the issue by any chance?
I think it was Summer 17, Year 2, whatever the next day in that save file was. It was morning, I had finished my farm chores and was going to the cavern to farm geodes, and the cut scene triggered.
It was the cut scene where you encounter Zarah fishing in front of the cavern and tells you she found a piece of map, then it gives you a quest to check the cavern and ocean for the other 2 pieces of the map.
I don’t have a video, sorry!
The quest triggered after the cut scene ended, the game immediately lagged terribly, then the music stopped and the screen went black and my Deck showed the startup logo.
I see. Do you still remember your detailed activities before the cutscene occurs?
May I ask if you have tried to replicate your steps, see the cutscene, and the issue didn't happen again?
Oh, can you also let us know how many hours (IRL) you played before the crash happened?
I went though all my barns and coops collecting from the auto collectors and letting out the animals to graze, harvested all the ready plants, stored them in chests because I am planning on seating up auto chests once I unlock them, then went through the “forest farm” and “forest mid” and across the vine bridge toward the Concerned Monkey shop. As soon as I entered that area the cut scene started, and once the cut scene ended the journal notice for the new quest appeared but then the game immediately froze.
I tried twice to replicate it and it didn’t crash again either time.
I think I played for about 2 hours before the crash.
Thank you for sharing this with us! We’ll make a note of it. May I ask if your Steam Deck was running hot before the issue occurred? Also, have you experienced any freezing or crash issues in the past after playing for about two hours too?
