Im not sure if this is on purpose or a bug. I came across a tip the other day thay said to use explosives to help clear stuff like trees off your farm. Worked a charm!
I recently unlocked Explosive III, put in a middle of a load of trees that wanted clearing and I got....6 wood? From perhaps 5 or 6 trees.
And yet I tried it again with Explosive I to test, and I got 16 wood from 2/3 trees.
So much wood wasted 😭
