game crashes after cave of memories

So I've completed the cave of memories, but I need to revisit to get the Dino fossils for the museum, every time I visit there and go back home to sleep, my game crashes and I get a fatal error. I'm on Xbox game pass on pc, no mods

I've completed the initial quest in the Cave of Memories. Got to level 125 and saved the giant. Then focused on a lot of other things in game, but upon getting the dino holograms, I crash when going to sleep after going into the Cave of Memories. It has only started after the most recent update

I see. Did you start from level 1 until level 125 that day? Do you happen to have a video of your detailed activities in the Cave of Memories?

I've crashed twice now. I start at level 125 and am just going in for loot at this point. On both tries, all I did that day was harvesting crops and then going to the mine. The first try, I used bombs in the mine. I tried it again today and only harvested crops and did not use bombs but upon sleeping it still crashed. It seems that any time I go into the mine and do any action (like breaking a rock or combat) it triggers the crash upon sleeping. I can go to the Savannah in general and have purchased animals and decor with no issues

Here is a screenshot of the quest journal. There's really nothing to record in a video. I do mining all day and then when I go to sleep the game just crashes.

I do not plan on forcing another crash because I do not want to lose this save file. I do not plan on entering the Cave of Memories until I know the game will not crash

Yes I started on 125 on both. I don't think I went much past 160 when using bombs and not past 135 when just using tools

first crash was after sleeping after cave of memories - started mining at level 50. (frustrating, because i got a lot of dino prints!)
it hadn't saved the day when i loaded it back up. quit the game bc frustrated.

came back several hours later to repeat same day, and this time it crashed mid-mining in the cave of memories. started at level 50 again. crashed early afternoon in-game.

i dont know if it crashes anywhere else, because i'm just trying to get the dino holograms done as it's one of the last things for me to do.

May I ask if you use warp sesajen or fast travel to go to the Savannah and also back to your farm?

PC/steam, version v1.1-1226

i used fast travel to go to the savannah (the flower thing on my farm)

first crash - i used a crafted warp sesajen to return back to my farm instantly. used it while inside the cave.

second crash - crashed while mining in the cave, so didnt use a warp sesajen then, but had some in my inventory

actions i took before going there each day:

• went straight into 2 barns and 2 coops to gather auto collected products
• called my farm animals outside
• went into one shed where my processing machines are
• gathered already processed items from machines: mayos of nearly every large egg, cheeses from nearly every large milk, 1 osmium bar from the replication machine, 1 of the ocean animal wool)
• put the gathered eggs and milk into processing machines, 2 more wool into processing machine, and added more cheese wheels to 2 aging barrels
• left shed
• put all the gathered items in the shipping bin
• fast travelled to my underwater farm
• gathered items from my auto SFH (ocean) and put these into the ocean shipping bin
• gathered 4 milk from mermoos, nothing else
• called ocean animals outside
• fast travelled back to farm
• went into same shed
• added 1 mermoo milk to the machine (other machines were full, couldnt fit the other 3 so put them in a chest)
• then fast tavelled to savannah using flower on my farm
  (rest is explained above with actions and crashing. thanks)

did all these steps both days (pretty much a routine at this point)

For both crash, after you're in Savannah area, are you directly go to the Cave of Memories?
May I ask which level you've start and the last level before you go back to your Farm or crash there? If you still remember your detailed activities there, also if you crafting things like explosives or ropes, kindly let us know.

To help us take a closer look, could you send us your save and crash logs file?
You can access the crash log by copy-paste this file path to the File Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\Crashes (the .xml file), and the save file is on the Saved folders too, but inside the "SaveGames" (the sav. file). Thank you!

i run directly north into the cave of memories, nothing else (no gathering or cutting, or fishing in the area -- just go straight into the cave)

i enter at floor 50 each time. i cant remember the exact level it crashed or when i left.

first crash (the day it crashed after the day finished) i forgot to mention i went to the museum before i slept, where i started 3 new dino holograms because of the dino prints i gathered. then went straight to sleep and it crashed.
i got over level 70, but not sure exactly what level.

second crash, i think i was roughly about 10 levels in (maybe level 60 or less) when it crashed.

i used 1-2 jamu potions for energy at some point during mining, both days.

i didn't use any bombs or rope, or any items like that. only used my tools.

i wear two rings:

• the ring of speed
• blessed opal ring

my osmium pickaxe has the following perks:

• no energy drain 20%
• mighty hit 15%
• rare drop 200%

my osmium axe has the following perks:

• hit drop 2%
• extra drop 5%
• no energy drain 10%

i mined, fought a few monsters when i felt like it to get some combat xp (monsters aggression is turned off in settings so they don't attack first), and i used the axe on the wood levels.

maybe chopped a big mushroom tree or two and chopped one or two large crops. but mostly i'd just focus on mining rocks, mining gems, killing monsters, and chopping the little stumps on the wood levels. i'd sometimes mine the little cracks in the floor to get the osmium ore (didn't do it for any other ore).

i dont remember exact time. i know it was past 11pm
i dont recall the timer actually started (the red flashing one that starts at midnight) so it may have been between 11pm-12am.

oh also just for clarification, on that first day, when i left the mine it went like this:

used crafted warp sesajen directly back to farm > got 3 sets of prints and the materials from chest > fast travelled to museum using the totem on my farm > started 3 dino holograms > fast travelled back to farm using the museum totem > went to sleep > the day completed and it popped up with the 3 dino holograms in progress & summary of the day > clicked continue/next to start the next day then thats when the crash happened

I'll add that to the notes, Do you remember the last Savannah Mines layout before you back to the farm and before the second crash issue happened? Is it on the level that filled with just Monsters, or perhaps with the trees and mushroom trees?

i don't sorry. my gut says it was a wood level, but honestly its just a guess

i dont remember with 100% certainty

first crash - i THINK i teleported out on a mushroom/tree level, or monster-only.
i only think this because i usually end a bit earlier if it's getting late and a mushroom/tree level appears.

second crash - i THINK it crashed when i was mining rocks or gems, because i remember i checked my inventory for dino prints. it's possible it was a mushroom/tree level though.
i am sure it wasn't a monster-only level as it crashed when i was actively mining or cutting.

I made it to level 35 at 1:30 am and it crashed for the second time and was saving and never changed from that black saving page. Now the game won’t let me do anything unless I touch the screen on my steam deck. Uninstalling and installing it right now.

I have frozen twice since entering the Savannah. It’s a bit annoying since the second time it froze on the screen saying saving…which means the game didn’t even save the day.
