I've already made a post about this, but I'm reposting it to try to get it noticed because it basically stops me from playing the game
Reproduction steps: I do not know what caused this issue, but sometime after the V1.1-1225 update, I found that the dialogue for most Merfolk was completely bugged for me. Either I am only able to interact with named Merfolk NPCs exactly twice per day each and then can't interact any more, or I am totally unable to interact with them at all. This also applies to the non-Merfolk underwater NPCs such as Nagalita. Examples of both versions of the bug are shown in the screenshots.
Reproduction rate: This is an ongoing issue that has been present across several in-game days.
Platform: Steam
Version: v1.1-1225
Input mode: keyboard and mouse

No problem, thanks for getting back to me! It's a very puzzling bug so hopefully you guys are able to figure out what's happening cause I'm not ๐Ÿ˜†

I've checked this with the teams, and they confirmed you need to complete the "One of Us" quest and become Merfolk to be able to talk with them. Have you got the quest and completed it? ๐Ÿ™‚

Ah ok! I haven't done the quest yet so that makes sense. Unfortunate, it's Miranjani's birthday today so I won't be able to gift her until next year ๐Ÿ˜” Thanks for the help!

#

I mean I won't be able to give her the boosted birthday gift, obviously I can still give her regular weekly gifts once I do the quest

Yes, they still don't trust you completely if you're still in Human form and start to open up as soon as you become one of them ๐Ÿ‘€

#

Please let us know if you've completed the quest and they still won't talk to you! ๐Ÿ˜„
